Everyday Eats

Everyday Eats, formerly known as EverGreen Boxes™, provides nutritious food to income-qualifying individuals at least 60 years of age, with the goal of improving health by providing key nutrients.

Also known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), Everyday Eats is administered at the federal level by the USDA. Food Bank of the Rockies and Food Bank of Wyoming are proud to offer the Everyday Eats Program at no cost to qualifying Colorado and Wyoming residents each month.

Need knows no age, which is why Food Bank of the Rockies and Food Bank of Wyoming distribute food through Everyday Eats to qualifying Colorado and Wyoming residents aged 60+ throughout 28 counties in Colorado and eight counties in Wyoming. We are proud to offer home delivery for clients in the counties of Adams, Arapahoe, Denver, Douglas, and Jefferson counties in Colorado, and Natrona county in Wyoming.

Everyday Eats by the Numbers for Fiscal Year 2023

Everyday Eats boxes are available every month at no cost to income-qualifying Colorado and Wyoming residents at least 60 years of age.

FAQs

Everyday Eats boxes are available at no cost on a monthly basis to Colorado and Wyoming residents aged 60+ who meet the income eligibility requirements. Individuals whose household income falls at or below 130% of the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines are eligible.

First, complete the Everyday Eats application.

Then, bring your completed form to one of our participating Agency Partners. You may search for the pantry closest to you using our Find Food tool and selecting Everyday Eats under “Program Type.”

If you are unable to deliver your completed form to a food pantry, you may also email your completed form to everydayeats@foodbankrockies.org.

Each Everyday Eats box contains about 35 pounds of shelf-stable food items, such as cereal, rice or pasta, protein (such as tuna or chicken), shelf-stable milk, canned fruits and vegetables, plant-based protein (such as peanut butter or canned beans), and tomato or fruit juice. A two-pound block of refrigerated cheese comes alongside the box. Two easy recipes incorporating box items are also included, along with a newsletter covering various health and nutrition topics. Recipes and newsletters are printed in English and Spanish for Colorado recipients, and English for Wyoming recipients.

In Colorado, boxes can be picked up at 139 community-based locations in 28 counties. Home delivery is available in Adams, Arapahoe, Denver, Douglas, and Jefferson counties. For home delivery, contact our delivery coordinator at (720) 738-9674 Ext 9674. Please leave a message. Se habla Español.

In Wyoming, boxes can be picked up at eight community-based locations. Home delivery is also available in Natrona County.

Everyday Eats boxes are pre-built boxes, so contents cannot be modified prior to pick-up or delivery.

Yes. Our volunteers can load your box in your car for you at any of our pick-up sites.

In Colorado, please bring a photo ID or Proof of Colorado residence, such as a piece of mail with your name and address. Proof of income and citizenship is not required.

In Wyoming, please bring a state ID, such as a driver’s license. Proof of income is not required.

Everyday Eats is primarily funded at the federal level by the Food and Nutrition Service, an agency of the USDA. Food Bank of the Rockies and Food Bank of Wyoming occasionally add purchased products to the boxes as well.

Yes. Food Bank of the Rockies and Food Bank of Wyoming have proxy systems that allow a client to have someone pick up food on their behalf.
