Food Bank of the Rockies is excited to announce a $65,ooo grant to help us provide breakfast food in our Totes of Hope® this year. This money will help us ensure kids in our community have access to a nutritious breakfast, especially on the weekends when school meals aren’t available.
“Breakfast is vital for kids to start their day out nourished to learn and grow,” said Kevin Seggelke, the food bank’s president and ceo. “We can’t thank the Albertsons Companies Foundation enough for sharing this important gift with our food bank to help kids get a head start on their day.”
Totes of Hope provides a mixture of kid-friendly food bags each Friday to ensure kids in areas with high numbers receiving free and reduced lunches have something to eat over the weekend. Learn more here.
