Easy Marinara Sauce

Yields6 Servings

 2 tbsp olive oil
 2 cloves garlic, whole
 1 28-oz. can crushed tomatoes
 1 tsp onion powder
 1 tsp dried oregano
 1 tsp dried basil
 Salt, to taste
 Red pepper flakes, to taste
1

1. Heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic, tomatoes with juices, onion powder, oregano, and basil. Stir to combine.

2. Bring the sauce to a low boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for about 45 minutes. Stir occasionally to keep the bottom of the pan from burning.

3. When the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency, smash the garlic cloves against the side of the saucepan with a fork. Stir into the sauce. Add salt and red pepper flakes to taste.

4. Serve warm over your favorite pasta shape.
