Schools Fighting Hunger

Hello Teachers, Troop and Youth Group Leaders!

Teaching children about social responsibility is an important job you do every day. Food Bank of the Rockies’  Kung Food Fighters Kids Club is a resource to help you teach kids how they can  give back! Through our club, we provide children with activities and information that empowers them to see their potential for making a difference in the world. Hunger is often associated with third world countries and homeless individuals we see on the street.  Sadly, hunger exists in our community and affects many more neighbors than most people realize.  Click HERE for more facts about Hunger in Colorado and how Food Bank of the Rockies helps.

How Can Your Classroom, Troop or Group Get Involved?

Start a Quarters for Kids Campaign!
We’ve developed the “Quarters for Kids” Campaign as an easy way to encourage community involvement among young people.  We’ve provided some tools to help you implement this simple and effective program in your classroom.  Every quarter raised will provide one meal for our neighbors in need!  Starting Your Quarters for Kids Campaign   You’ll find ideas on how to earn or collect a few quarters for the campaign and how to get started. If you’d like to let us know about your campaign or schedule a tour of the food bank or a speaker to come to your class, or group meeting, please email us at
