Fighting Hunger Feeding Hope

Fighting Hunger Feeding Hope

When people visit Food Bank of the Rockies, they are surprised at the size of our warehouse and the number of agencies that depend on us as a resource for food. Fighting Hunger Feeding Hope is our central distribution program, providing food and essentials to more than 1200 hunger-relief programs in Metropolitan Denver, Northern Colorado, the Eastern Plains and Western Slope. These programs are the frontline between health and happiness versus hunger and despair.

Hunger relief programs are approved through our Agency Relations department and must have 501(c)3 designation or meet a 14 point criteria. They range from small faith-based food pantries to large charities serving hundreds of clients daily. These programs order their food online; our volunteers pull their order; and the program receives the order and distributes the food to their clients.

We encourage you to tour our food bank and learn more about this program. If you’re a hunger relief program, serving people in need in our service area, please contact our agency relations team or visit our becoming an agency page to learn more.
